Hey meat-heads,

I made a cartoon called Pubelic School. Its about a high school in a shower drain where all the students and staff are pubic hairs. Hope you like it.

My friend Mike Lennon and myself were bored a while back when we decided to make a cartoon for the first time since high school. There were only two rules: the first idea that we both laughed at with had to be the one we animated and we would have to do all the voices because that’s how South Park did it.

I was 10 when South Park starting becoming a sensation. My friends would run around the playground reenacting episodes, looking at me and shouting ”Your Cartman! Your Catman!” I didn’t know what a Cartman was because we didn’t have premium cable, but I was enthralled. My mother rented me the first episode of South Park on VHS from Blockbuster under the condition that I watch it with her. She might have been misled by the images children made of bright colored paper.

My first question to my mother after watching Cartman Get’s an Anal Probe was “what is a dildo?” Though she was very upset with what we watched, she nonchalantly told me a dildo was “a fake penis” It took me years to figure out why someone would need “a fake penis.” Did they loose their’s in battle? I still don’t know why she chose to actually answer that question.

I met Lennon later that summer. In a few years we would take computer animation classes together and put out some pretty shitty flash cartoons with pre-pubecent boys trying to do bad impressions.

I showed my mom Pubelic School soon after we finished it. I could tell she was very upset with what we had just watch but her response was “that was cute.” I guess not much has really changed in 16 years.
